EVANSVILLE — Community members needing legal assistance with a civil issue have an opportunity to receive free assistance locally.

There are multiple clinics throughout the year to assist with family law issues, eviction and debt.

According to information shared by the Volunteer Lawyer Program of Southwestern Indiana, the family law clinics are funded by the Indiana Supreme Court and its family court project.

The eviction clinics are funded by the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority through the Indiana Bar Foundation, and the debt clinic is a service of VLP and the William H. Miller Law Library.
